3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO JCI CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF
5 THREE HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED FIFTY -
6 SIX AND 80/100 ($344,656.80) FOR THE 36TH STREET ROUNDABOUT
7 AT ROMINE PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for Project #13 -B -6C, 36th Street Roundabout at Romine Road, Bid
10 No. 14-155; and,
11 WHEREAS, JCI Construction, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
12 specifications;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for JCI Construction,
16 Inc., for the 36th Street Roundabout at Romine Road in the amount of Three Hundred Forty -Four
17 Thousand, Six Hundred Fifty -Six and 80/100 Dollars ($344,656.80), which is the base bid amount of Two
18 Hundred Eighty -Seven Thousand, Two Hundred Fourteen Dollars ($287,214.00) plus 20% contingencies.
19 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from the 2013 Capital Improvement Bonds for Streets
20 and Drainage as authorized by Resolution No. 13,699.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
28 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
